Purpose of Solar

The sun is an incredible and renewable resource that has the power to fuel life on earth and provide clean, and sustainable energy to all of its inhabitants. In fact, more energy from the sun reaches our planet in one hour than is used by the entire population of the world in one year. The sun’s energy can be converted into electricity through solar photovoltaic (PV) modules (photo = light, voltaic = electricity).

PV modules absorb sunlight and convert the energy into a usable form of electrical current. The sun shines all over the world, making solar electricity viable anywhere. Because solar can be paired with batteries for energy storage, solar electric systems can be independent of the utility grid, making them cost-effective for remote locations. Solar modules have no moving parts making maintenance costs low, and they are highly reliable with a long service life of 25+ years of guaranteed electricity. Solar electricity relies on the sun as its fuel source, so there is no need to drill for petroleum-based fuels, refine them, or deliver them to the site. As you can see, there are a lot of advantages of solar energy.

SGT Solarsys having thier production unit of 2.2 Megawatts solar plant in the outskirts of Tamil Nadu. SGT Solarsys join with the hands of thier local clients providing an End-to-End soultions, extracting the power from solar panels using High Grids. All the procedures having approved and certified by the local governing bodies for their smooth and error free opertions.

Upcoming Projects

Solar Power Plant

SGT Solarsys already involves in the installation of thier first 2.2 Megawatts solar plant, and looking for further expansion of another 3 Megawatts during the end of upcoming calendar year and planing to extend a minimum of 5 megawatts every year based on the clients and their requirements.

EV Charging Station

The growth of electric vehicles (EVs) and the behavior of EV drivers are increasing the demand for electric vehicle charging stations, and Utilities across the world are evolving their energy efficiency programs to provide incentives for EV charging stations. One of the biggest concerns for electric vehicle (EV) owners is knowing when and how to charge their vehicle. Charging one’s EV takes a little more planning, but with the growing demand and incentives for alternatives to gas-powered cars, public EV charging stations are becoming a more common sight.

SGT Solarys next and upcoming project is Installing EV Charing Stations across the states, we are in discuss with the leading EV Charging hardware service provider for the same, and will start the charging stations in the upcoming financial years.


Renewable energy, often referred to as clean energy or alternative energy, comes from natural sources or processes that are constantly replenished. It is sustainable and something that can’t run out – like the sun. Renewable energy is an alternative to energy that relies on fossil fuels like oil, gas, and coal and is less harmful on the environment. Transitioning to renewable energy helps to combat climate change.

Solar energy is energy from sunlight. Solar power is produced when energy from the sun is converted into electricity or used to heat air, water or other substances. According to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, “more energy from the sun falls on the earth in one hour than is used by everyone in the world in one year.”
Wind energy is energy harnessed from wind. Wind power is one of the cleanest and safest of all the renewable methods of generating electricity. Wind turbines are used to capture wind power.

There is a huge amount of heat at the earth’s core which can be found by digging down towards the centre. The earth’s natural heat is called geothermal energy. Water heated by geothermal energy can be used for heating or for generating electricity. Unlike solar and wind energy, usable geothermal energy can only be found in some areas of the world.

Biomass is plant and animal matter such as straw, sewage, waste food, and wood chips. These natural materials are burnt to produce heat and electricity. This is called biomass energy. They can also use biomass to create fuel called biodiesel which can be used in vehicles instead of petrol and diesel. While less polluting than fossil fuels, burning biomass does cause some air pollution.

Hydropower means energy from moving water. Electricity can be generated using three sources of moving water: waves, tides and rivers. Hydroelectric energy is electricity generated by building dams across rivers which force water to turn generators. Wave and tidal energy are both still undeveloped.
